Meet Tabatha Cox
Welcome! I'm Tabatha Cox, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS), Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) with more than 25 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges. I also provide clinical supervision for professionals across North Carolina pursuing licensure or certification in mental health and substance use disorder treatment.
A Compassionate Approach to Counseling
Life can be challenging, and asking for support is a meaningful step toward healing and growth. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. I believe counseling is a collaborative process, and together we'll work to build on your strengths, overcome obstacles, and create lasting positive change.
Areas of Experience
Throughout my career, I've gained extensive experience in mental health counseling, substance use treatment, and crisis intervention. I tailor therapy to each client's unique needs, working alongside you to identify meaningful goals and develop practical strategies that support your emotional well-being and personal growth.
Education and Professional Background
I earned my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, graduating with honors from Argosy University. My commitment to ongoing learning and clinical excellence allows me to provide evidence-based care while meeting each client with compassion, understanding, and respect.
Beyond the Office
Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. One of my favorite places to recharge is the beach, where I find peace in the sun, sand, and waves.
