About Nikki Lollis, LCMHC, LCAS
Hello, I'm Nikki Lollis!
I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) who is passionate about helping adults, couples, and families navigate life's challenges with compassion, curiosity, and hope. I believe that healing and growth are possible for everyone, and I strive to provide a supportive, collaborative environment where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered.
In addition to recurring therapy, I am pleased to offer therapy intensives for individuals seeking a more focused, immersive approach to healing. Therapy intensives provide extended therapy sessions over one or more days, allowing for deeper therapeutic work and accelerated progress, particularly for trauma recovery and other significant life concerns.
My Approach
No two people have the same story, which is why I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs and goals. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including:
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Trauma-Informed Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Mindfulness and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
Eco-Systemic Family Therapy
Solution-Focused Therapy
Client-Centered Therapy
Prolonged Exposure Therapy
Motivational Interviewing
Gottman Method
I am committed to lifelong learning and continually pursue advanced training to provide the highest quality care. My clinical experience includes working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and loss, relationship concerns, mood disorders, and major life transitions. I also have a special passion for supporting people of color and members of the LGBTQ+ community with culturally responsive, affirming care.
My Philosophy
I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, evidence-based tools, and a safe, nonjudgmental space where healing, self-discovery, and meaningful change can take place. The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of counseling, and I value creating an environment built on trust, authenticity, and respect.
Education and Training
I earned my Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University and my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Syracuse University. I have extensive training in individual and family therapy, with specialized experience in trauma-informed counseling and evidence-based trauma treatment.
A Little About Me
Outside of the therapy office, I enjoy spending time with my spouse, child, and my three beloved fur babies. I love reading, exploring new places, and relaxing with a good TV series or movie.
Let's Connect
Seeking support is a courageous first step, and you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. Whether you're interested in recurring therapy or a therapy intensive, I would be honored to partner with you on your journey toward healing and growth. I look forward to connecting with you.
